Donor Impact Stories

The 2016 College of Agricultural Sciences Scholarship Brunch, October 8, 2016.

“I am very honored and proud to be the recipient of the Russell L. Butler II Memorial Scholarship.  Receiving this award has motivated me to go outside of my comfort zone and exceed my own expectations. This scholarship has given me the confidence to show everyone the determination and ingenuity I have through my knowledge and love for Landscape Architecture. After completion, I found Mr. Butler to be a true inspiration, not only for his work as a Landscape Architect but because of his generosity, respect for nature, and his love for friends and family.”

-Peter Grotemeyer, Landscape Architecture, 2017

The 2016 College of Agricultural Sciences Scholarship Brunch, October 8, 2016.

“As a first generation student, the Golter Family Scholarship has helped me by granting the extra funds for my student bill after financial aid, and by helping me stock my Landscape Architecture studio space with the necessary supplies.”

-Lindsay Hand, Landscape Architecture, 2017

“Being a recipient of the Robert E. Miller Scholarship granted a sense of pride and inspiration that has enabled me to seek more opportunities at CSU. Historically, encouragement has been essential in creating quality communities within each degree program. Proud to be a CSU Aggie/Ram.”

-Brett Throgmorton, Environmental Horticulture, 2017

The 2016 College of Agricultural Sciences Scholarship Brunch, October 8, 2016.

“I am blessed and grateful for being awarded the Robert E. Miller scholarship. It has reduced the amount of time I have to spend working and made it possible for me to focus on my school work. Your generosity inspires me to work to as hard as I can and fulfill the intention of your scholarship. I hope someday I can pay it forward and help others achieve their goals and give someone an opportunity like you have given me.”

-Jorge Solis, Environmental Horticulture, 2017
